The Center for Internet and Society at Stanford Law School posted an article (here) about how the Department of Justice plans to use "techlash" (stemming from privacy scandals with social media) to ban encryption on personal devices. The EARN IT Act bill, here, seeks to make "interactive computer services" providers "earn" immunity for claims regarding child sex abuse material (CSAM) online.

Michael Naughton gave a presentation on March 16, 2017 to the Traverse City Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals regarding the need for fiber internet in northwest Michigan. Specifically, Michael discussed plans published by Traverse City Light & Power and Cherryland Electric to provide fiber internet to its residential and business customers.
